Rubbertech Safety Surfacing

Rubbertech Safety Surfacing – Is a new generation SOFTFALL systems for the 21st century.

Reconstituted recycled rubber SOFTFALL systems have been around for some time now with minimal changes in technology. That’s until now! Rubbertech is utilised by Playscape Creations for the installation of all of their Softfall installations for all playground and aquatic play environments. Rubbertech consists of a number of ranges of finishes, and is dependant on the clients requirements and budgets.

Rubbertech SOFTFALL surfacing has been developed to offer simple to install surfacing using a recycled car tyre rubber ‘Safety Cushion’ at precise thicknesses to meet your relevant free fall height, with a variety of top coats to suit every application. All Rubbertech SOFTFALL have been rigorously tested to exceed the current Australian Standard AS/NZ4422-1996. This requires the SOFTFALL to register a “G” rating of less than 200 as well as recording a HIC (Head Impact Criteria) of less than 1000, from a specific free fall height.

Rubbertech SOFTFALL out performs traditional SOFTFALL systems offering better protection in relation to product thickness. This added to our choice of Top Coat surfaces makes Rubbertech your only choice in SOFTFALL.

It is imperative that all Rubbertech SOFTFALL systems are installed over a compacted base. Ask your Rubbertech consultant about adequate base preparation for your installation.

Rubbertech Surfacing Range

Classic Range

Using traditional Top Coat ingredients – recycled rubber buffings or granules, pre-coloured with batched dyes and acrylics – our Classic Top Coat provides maximum protection and durability in the most economical format.

CLASSIC WET POUR – Available in a troweled in-situ installation process the “Classic Wet Pour” Top Coat offers seamless surfacing with a semi-porous finish, eliminating any pooling of surface water. Colour features can be added to make a more profound statement and to add “life” to your surface, allowing the SOFTFALL to become a play feature in it’s own right.

Rubbertech Deluxe Range

EPDM Granules (Ethylene Propylene Dienne Modified) have always been regarded as the ultimate Surface. Offering full colour integrity allows the provision of radical colour changes within a surface – ideal for inserts or patterning. Alternatively by blending the Deluxe granule colours within a surface vibrant themes can be created offering bright surfaces with low maintenance. See the colour chart for raw colours –to be used straight or as a blend.

The Rubbertech Deluxe surfacing is laid at 12mm thickness on a specific plane with minimal tolerances. All joins are glued vertically and horizontally via to our unique step down jointing method, developed specifically for EPDM feature installations. Our EPDM surfacing consists of imported EPDM granule and locally produced polyurethane and mixed at 5:1 ratio for a strong, resistant, yet supple finished.
