Gregory Park – Rosalie
In 2004 we were asked to work with design team at Brisbane City Council for a new regional park facility being built at Rosalie, in Brisbane’s inner west. This park spawned a lot of new ideas, and was the emphasis for some new product development from our partners, Megatoy Play Systems.
Over time one of the areas left as a natural climbing mound became something of a maintenance nightmare, so were asked to provide a solution.
The mound was popular, its downfall however was the unsealed surface, which continually required re-compaction. The space was also under utilised hence a decision was made to add some play value, enhance the aesthetic value, and simultaneously solving the maintenance issue.
Megatoy’s Single Tower Micro was the perfect choice as it fitted perfectly into the available space. Surrounded by our unique Pebble Flex softfall, installed in bands of colour, tie in with the circular theme and added yet another dimension to this popular park setting.
