Playscape Creations completes Queenslands largest Spray Park

Playscape Creations has recently completed Queensland’s largest spray park in Mt Isa. The Family Recreation Park in Mount Isa is an all abilities playground area which forms part of a long-term strategy for renewal of Mount Isa’s sport and recreational facilities, and has been funded by a range of government and corporate partners. Importantly, the new recreational space aims to meet the needs of children and families of all ages and abilities by providing a highly-interactive, extensive play environment which Playscape Creations were proud to be a partner in achieving this vision.

The Project is the redevelopment of a city central recreational park that will cater for the needs of children and families of all abilities in Mount Isa. The Family Recreation Park design was achieved through user group consultation which identified the specific needs and desires of the intended users of the park.

Playscape Creations have been working with the Landscape Architects and Council Representatives for over 12 months and the construction side of things took approximately 6 – 7 weeks to complete the transition of the parks Spray area. The project is the biggest Aquatic Play area that Playscape Creations has undertaken to date and the end result is a wonderland that has transformed the Mt Isa Streetscape.

The official opening is due to take place on the 5th of June by our Queensland Premier Anna Bligh, so we look forward to keeping you posted on the opening days events.
