Climbers
Climb and Conquer!!
Climbing involves four key sensory systems – tactile, proprioception, vestibular and visual – with each system actively collecting information about textures and muscle activation. This information helps create sensory-motor intelligence and visual spatial perception – allowing children to effectively relate to objects and navigate in the world.
Children also need to encounter risks and overcome fears on the playground – encouraging their emotional development. They take pride in the challenge of extending their bodies and minds in unconventional ways and learn a variety of skills on the playground they may not otherwise learn.
Who doesn’t love climbing!
