Forest Park West is a new district level recreation park in Sippy Downs and is within the Sippy Downs Town Centre Master Plan. As the surrounding community evolves, it is predicted that the park will be highly utilised by university students, school groups and families. The area is destined to be a major regional activity centre and is intended to provide significant retail, commercial and community activities.
On entering this new development residents are greeted by the Kuranda Rainforest Tower art structure which is the key influence of the park.
The tower offers low level play for younger children and challenging elevated play catering to more adventurous. With clear lines of sight across all levels, this tower ticks all CPTED design principles boxes, accessible to both children and adults alike. Designed and engineered using only robust materials for maximum longevity and minimal maintenance.
With each level taking users to a greater height amongst the treetops, as well as a feeling of accomplishment! With each platform within the tower at an angle with yet another climbing challenge, this tower provides a plethora of integrated climbing obstacles to be overcome.
Once reaching the top, climbers are rewarded with the exhilarating reward of sliding back down the 4.5m tube slide to the ground from the nest like tower top.
Additional play elements offered include multi-user double bay swing that can provide for users of all ages and abilities to participate and play together which adds so much joy to the swinging experience!
The Zenith Net Climber distributing experiences across different zones throughout the landscape. four different bridging and bridging and net system to encourage children to test their balance and coordination. The colourful balls clamps are reminiscent of star constellations, helping to spark children’s curiosity and wonder.
The overall play experience is exciting, unique and site specific and draws on the site’s character to create a truly memorable experience of being within nature.
