Ipswich Riverheart Aquatic Play

Designed as a zero-depth water spray park, this site is constructed over a 3 dimensional aspect within the landscape.  The original design intent was to achieve a cascade type effect while staying safe enough for typical age demographic users.

Both surface and above ground sprays are operated by a programmed computer controlled manifold, delivering time sprayed sequences and creating intrigue and surprise for the users.

The play value of water is invaluable – feeling and experiencing the varied sprays keeps children engaged with fun experiences – cooling, tactile, social interaction.

This space has also done wonders in activating this section of river frontage, creating family fun, outdoor adventure and social gathering for residents and visitors.
